Your baby does not need to reach a particular milestone to have meaningful photographs. A quiet look towards a parent, hands discovering a toy, or a cheerful kick can all tell the story of this stage. When planning baby photography in Singapore, start with what your baby enjoys and can do comfortably, then choose a setting around that.
Before your baby sits independently
At around three months, photographs can focus on expressions, tiny hands and feet, and interaction with the people baby knows best. Lying-down portraits and carefully supported arrangements offer possibilities without expecting independent sitting. Tell us what your baby is comfortable doing rather than choosing a pose only because another baby did it.
Our 3–6 month baby portfolio includes reclining portraits, close-ups and playful themes. A character bonnet or a softly coloured outfit can bring personality to a simple portrait. The photograph below is one example of a reclining setup from that gallery, rather than a statement about this baby's exact age.

When your baby enjoys tummy time
If your baby is comfortable spending a little time on their tummy, you might like portraits that show their face, hands and curious gaze from a different angle. We can discuss suitable support and alternatives before the session. This is an idea to adapt to the individual baby, not a requirement or a skill to practise for the camera.
If tummy time is not enjoyable on the day, we can choose another arrangement. A relaxed photograph with a parent or a reclining portrait still records this period beautifully. There is no need to push through discomfort to complete a planned pose.
When your baby can sit comfortably
For babies who already sit comfortably, seated portraits can show their posture, outfit and interaction with a favourite toy. A simple prop or a familiar song may give baby something interesting to respond to. Tell us whether your baby sits independently and what support they usually need, so we can plan suitable arrangements.
Our 6–12 month portfolio can help you explore themes for this later stage. The age ranges organise the galleries; they do not mean every child should be doing the same things at the same month. We choose poses around your baby's abilities and comfort.
Approaching the first birthday
A first-birthday portrait can be playful without needing a complicated activity. Think about a favourite colour, an outfit you love, or a family interaction you want to remember. If you are interested in a birthday setup or cake photographs, discuss the arrangements before booking rather than bringing an unplanned setup on the day.
Leave room for family photographs as well as baby solo portraits. A smile shared with a parent or a cuddle between activities gives the collection a different kind of memory from the themed portraits.
Prepare for the baby you have today
Choose a time with your baby's usual rest and feeding routine in mind. Bring feeding supplies, spare diapers and a favourite toy, and prepare softly coordinated clothing for family photographs. Our baby preparation guide explains what to bring. Let us know favourite songs or games; expressions come most naturally when baby feels comfortable.
The current Baby Package covers babies from three months to one year and includes a one-hour studio session with a baby solo setup and a family portrait setup. Baby outfits and props are provided. For a younger baby, we can discuss the age-appropriate Newborn or Full Month session instead.
To plan your session with Mamamiyo, share your baby's age, what they can comfortably do, who will join and a few favourite theme examples. You do not have to wait for a perfect milestone, and a calm expression is just as welcome as a smile.
