Booking & Session Information

How do I book a photoshoot?

A: Choose the package that suits you, then WhatsApp us at 9760 0798 with your preferred date and time. For maternity or newborn photography, please also share your EDD or baby’s birth date. We’ll check availability, answer your questions and guide you through confirming the session.

How do I secure my booking?

A: A S$100 booking fee is required to secure your photoshoot date and time. The remaining package balance is payable after the photoshoot.

When do I choose my setup or theme?

A: Please send us your preferred setup or theme before the photoshoot so we can prepare everything in advance. If you would like a customised theme, share your ideas with us early so we can confirm what is possible and whether any additional charge applies.

Where are the sessions held?

A: Newborn Sessions for babies under one month old are photographed in the comfort of your home. Full Month Sessions for babies over one month and up to six weeks old are held at our private studio in Telok Kurau. Maternity and Baby Sessions are also held in our studio. The full studio address is shared with confirmed clients before their session.

What are your opening hours?

A: Photoshoots are available by appointment on weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons and evenings, subject to availability. Please WhatsApp us at 9760 0798 before visiting or making arrangements.

What if my baby cries or stays awake?

A: That’s completely okay. We follow your baby’s comfort and pace throughout the session. If your baby feels unsettled, we may use gentle wrapping to help them feel secure and photograph comfortable wrapped poses. Your baby does not need to sleep throughout the session. Awake expressions can be photographed too.

Can my three-month-old baby be photographed without sitting independently?

A: Yes. We have suitable support props for babies who cannot sit independently. The poses and setups will be adjusted to your baby’s age, comfort and development, with appropriate support throughout the session.

Should I choose an at-home Newborn Session or a studio Full Month Session?

A: Choose the at-home Newborn Session for a baby under one month old, especially around 10–14 days. It lasts up to two hours and allows feeding and settling breaks at home. Choose the studio Full Month Session once baby is over one month and up to six weeks old. Both include baby portraits and family portraits. How is a Full Month Session different from a three-month Baby Session?

A: The Full Month Package is for babies over one month and up to six weeks old. The Baby Package is suitable for babies from three months to one year old. Both are studio sessions with one baby solo setup and one family portrait setup. Baby outfits and props are provided. Each package includes 70+ photos with Basic Retouch and Further Retouch on 10 selected photos.

How do you help me feel comfortable during a maternity photoshoot?

A: Mamamiyo Photography offers relaxed maternity photography in Singapore with gentle posing guidance throughout the one-hour studio session. Lesley helps you choose flattering angles, outfits and hand placement, so no modelling experience is needed. Choose two favourite looks from our portfolio and send them before your session. The S$388 package includes two outfits, 70+ photos with Basic Retouch and Further Retouch on 10 selected photos.

Photos, Retouching & Delivery

How many photos will I receive?

A: Our Maternity, Newborn, Full Month and Baby Packages include soft copies of 70+ photos with Basic Retouch, plus Further Retouch on 10 selected photos. The First Year Bundle includes three separate sessions. Each Bundle session includes 70+ photos with Basic Retouch and Further Retouch on 10 selected photos, giving 210+ Basic Retouch photos and 30 selected Further Retouch photos across all three sessions.

How long does processing take?

A: Your online photo-selection gallery with Basic Retouch applied is normally ready around seven days after the photoshoot. You can then submit the included number of selections for Further Retouch. The completion time for Further Retouch and physical products depends on your selections and order.

When will I receive my photos?

A: You will first receive an online gallery containing your photos with Basic Retouch applied. You can then choose the number of favourites included in your package for Further Retouch.

What is the difference between Basic Retouching and Further Retouching?

A: Basic Retouching provides consistent colour, white balance, exposure, brightness and contrast across the delivered gallery. It may also include basic cropping, straightening and minor background clean-up where appropriate. Further Retouching is detailed, photo-by-photo refinement applied to selected images. Depending on the photograph and your request, it may include skin refinement, newborn flaky-skin retouching, eye enhancement, teeth whitening, stray-hair removal, hair and clothing refinement, gentle face or body adjustments and the removal of small background distractions. The suitability of each adjustment depends on the individual photograph. More extensive editing requests may require separate confirmation.

How do I select photos for Further Retouching?

A: Choose your favourites from the delivered gallery and send us the relevant photo IDs or screenshots. The number of included selections depends on your confirmed package.

Can I purchase additional photos or printed products?

A: Yes. Additional retouched photos and products such as photo albums, canvas prints, wooden plaques and crystal plaques can be ordered separately. Please contact us for the current options and prices.

How will I receive my final photos?

A: Final digital photos are delivered online. Please download and save your files after receiving them.

What happens if I order a photo album?

A: After payment, choose the photos you would like to include from your gallery. The selected photos will be further retouched and sent to you for approval. Once you approve the retouching, the album layout will be prepared for a separate review. The album will only be sent for printing after you approve the final layout and provide the recipient’s full name, delivery address and handphone number. The completed album will then be delivered by courier.

When is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?

A: The ideal time is usually within 10–14 days, when babies tend to sleep more deeply and curl naturally. If your baby is older, we can recommend either a home Newborn Session or a studio Full Month Session based on your baby’s age, condition and comfort.

Can you help us choose outfits and themes?

A: Yes. Choose your preferred setup before the photoshoot. If you would like to finalise or change it later, screenshot your preferred look from our website, Instagram or Facebook and WhatsApp it to +65 9760 0798. For family portraits, plain or softly coordinated colours photograph best; avoid large logos and busy prints.

Do you provide makeup services?

A: Makeup is available as an optional add-on through collaborating makeup artists. Contact us for current availability and rates, or engage your own trusted makeup artist.

Can I include my dog or cat in a family photoshoot?

A: Yes. Dogs, cats and other suitable pets can join family portraits at Mamamiyo Photography for a S$30 pet add-on. Please tell us the pet’s species, size, number and temperament before booking so we can plan a safe, comfortable session. Bring a favourite toy or suitable treat, water, a leash or carrier, and clean-up supplies.

Can I purchase a gift voucher?

A: Yes. Gift vouchers are available for maternity, newborn, Full Month and baby photoshoots. Please contact us for the current purchasing and redemption details.

Maternity Photography Questions

What is included in the maternity package?

A: The S$388 studio package includes a one-hour session and two outfits, with outfits provided for mum. Core family portraits are included. It includes 70+ photos with Basic Retouch and Further Retouch on 10 selected photos. Makeup is available separately at an additional cost. Weekday and weekend appointments, including mornings, afternoons and evenings, are subject to availability.

Do I need to buy a dress for my maternity photoshoot?

A: No. We provide outfits for mum, and you may bring your own. Choose two favourite looks from our maternity portfolio and send screenshots before the session. The preparation guide below explains which undergarments and personal items to prepare.

How do I choose a date for my maternity session?

A: Around 28–34 weeks is a good time for maternity photographs, when your bump is clearly visible and you still feel comfortable. Send us your pregnancy week, due date and preferred dates so we can plan your session and check availability.

Newborn Photography Questions

What is included in the newborn package?

A: The S$588 home package is for babies under one month old and is best photographed within 10–14 days. The session lasts up to two hours. It includes three setups: two baby solo setups and one family portrait setup. Baby outfits and props are provided, and parents and siblings are welcome to join. It includes 70+ photos with Basic Retouch and Further Retouch on 10 selected photos. A S$50 weekend surcharge applies.

Is there an extra house-call fee for newborn photography?

A: No. At-home photography is included in our Newborn Package. Full Month, Maternity and Baby Packages are studio sessions.

Can we feed or settle our baby during the session?

A: Yes. We can pause for feeding, changing and settling. Keep milk or feeding supplies and spare diapers nearby, and let us know your baby’s needs when planning the session.

How do you create natural-looking newborn photos?

A: Mamamiyo Photography creates natural-looking newborn photographs through a gentle, unhurried home session that follows your baby’s comfort and pace. We pause for feeding, changing and settling, and never force a pose your baby resists. Babies are best photographed at 10–14 days, but the home Newborn Package covers babies up to one month old.

Baby & First Birthday Photography Questions

How do I choose between Newborn, Full Month and Baby photography?

A: Both Newborn and Full Month are part of our newborn photography service. The Newborn Package is a home session for babies under one month old. Once your baby is over one month old and up to six weeks old, the session is classified as a studio Full Month Session. The Baby Package is a studio session for babies from three months to one year old. WhatsApp us with your baby’s birth date if you need help choosing.

How long is a Baby session, and how many setups are included?

A: The Baby Package includes a one-hour studio session with two setups: one baby solo setup and one family portrait setup. Baby outfits and props are provided. It includes 70+ photos with Basic Retouch and Further Retouch on 10 selected photos.

Can we photograph our baby’s first birthday?

A: Yes. Our Baby Package covers babies up to one year old. Share your preferred theme and date when booking and discuss any special birthday setup before confirming the session.

Which baby photography package is best from three months to the first birthday?

A: For one milestone between three months and one year, choose the S$388 Baby Package: a one-hour studio session with one baby solo setup and one family portrait setup. For several milestones, the S$1088 First Year Bundle includes Full Month at 4–6 weeks, Sitter at 4–7 months and First Birthday at 10–12 months. Each session includes 70+ photos with Basic Retouch and Further Retouch on 10 selected photos.

Can I arrange a Bundle session on a weekend or in the afternoon or evening?

A: Weekday and weekend sessions, including mornings, afternoons and evenings, may be requested. All dates and times are subject to actual availability, and any applicable weekend surcharge will be confirmed before booking.

Family Photography Questions

Are family portraits included, or do we need a separate booking?

A: Portraits with parents and children are included in all our packages. Tell us who will attend when booking. For a family-only session or a larger group, contact us to discuss the arrangements before booking.

What should parents and siblings wear?

A: Prepare comfortable outfits in plain or softly coordinated colours. Avoid large logos and busy patterns. Baby outfits and maternity outfits for mum are provided; family members should prepare their own coordinated clothes.

Can we bring meaningful props or our baby’s own outfit?

A: Yes. You may bring your own baby outfit, favourite toy or meaningful keepsake. Send us a photo beforehand so we can discuss how it fits your chosen theme.

Can we request an additional setup?

A: Additional setups are listed at S$100 per set. Send your ideas before the session so we can confirm the arrangements and current price.

Cake Smash & Birthday Photography Questions

Can we choose birthday portraits without a real cake?

A: Yes. We provide a dummy cake for birthday portraits. Tell us which birthday theme you like so we can plan the setting. The prop cake is for photographs and is not edible.

Do you also offer real Cake Smash photography?

A: Yes. Bring your own cake and we can photograph baby touching, eating and playing with it within your existing setup. There is currently no additional Cake Smash charge. Let us know before your session so we can plan it within your booked package.

Who provides the cake, and is there an extra charge?

A: Please bring your own cake. We do not supply cakes or arrange a cake provider. Cake Smash can be included within your existing setup at no additional charge.

What if baby does not want to eat or smash the cake?

A: We can still photograph birthday portraits, expressions and interaction around the cake. Eating or smashing the cake is not required.

What should we prepare for Cake Smash?

A: Bring your own cake, a spare outfit, wipes, a towel and usual feeding supplies. Family members should bring coordinated clothes for family portraits.

What if baby has a food allergy or dietary requirement?

A: Parents choose and bring the cake and are responsible for checking its ingredients and suitability for their child. We do not provide dietary advice or assess the cake. If you prefer photographs without food, you can choose birthday portraits with our non-edible prop cake.

Pet Photography Questions

What should we tell you before bringing a pet?

A: Share the pet’s species, size, number and temperament, and who will join the portraits. We can discuss whether the planned session and setting suit your pet. You can also view our pet-friendly photography examples.

What should we bring for our pet?

A: Bring a favourite toy or suitable treat, water and a bowl, plus a leash or carrier and clean-up supplies. Discuss any specific needs in advance.

What if our pet is shy?

A: Tell us what helps your pet feel comfortable so we can discuss a suitable plan. Specific poses or expressions cannot be promised.
