Baby Photography: 6 Months to 1 Year

From sitting smiles to a first birthday, this gallery celebrates your baby's growing personality. Sessions take place in my Telok Kurau studio, with props and baby outfits provided. Browse the themes below, including cake smash and simple family portraits, and send me your favourites before booking.

Tell me your baby's age, what they enjoy and whether they are sitting comfortably on their own, so we can discuss a suitable setup. Bring milk, snacks, water and a favourite toy, and let baby rest beforehand. Parents and siblings can join the family portraits in softly coordinated outfits. We can pause for feeding, settling or a short nap when needed.

Baby & First Birthday Photography Questions

Can we book if baby is not sitting independently yet?

Yes. We have support props for babies who cannot sit independently. Tell us your baby’s current stage so we can plan suitable poses.

How do we choose a theme for a crawling or walking baby?

Tell us your baby’s age, what they enjoy and how they move. Send your favourite gallery themes so we can discuss a setup suited to their stage.

Can we celebrate baby’s first birthday?

Yes. The Baby package covers ages 3 months to 1 year. Share your birthday date and preferred theme before booking.

Can we choose a real cake or a prop cake?

Yes. We offer real Cake Smash photography and birthday portraits with a dummy cake. A real cake captures eating, touching and messy play; a prop cake creates a birthday setting without eating or smashing it.

Who provides the real cake, and is there an extra charge?

Please bring your own cake. We can include Cake Smash within your existing baby portrait setup at no additional charge. We do not supply cakes or arrange a cake provider. Tell us before your session so we can plan it within your booked package.

What if baby does not want to touch or eat the cake?

Baby does not have to eat or smash it. We can photograph their expressions and birthday portraits around the cake. Tell us their preferences when planning.

What should we bring for Cake Smash?

Bring your own cake, a spare baby outfit, wipes and a towel for cleaning up, plus usual feeding supplies and favourite toys. Prepare coordinated family clothes for portraits.

Are family portraits included?

Yes. The one-hour Baby session includes two setups: a baby solo setup and a family portrait setup. See current package details.
