Preparing for your maternity session

How should I prepare for a studio maternity photoshoot?

Choose two favourite looks from our portfolio and send them to us before your session. Your maternity package includes two outfits. We provide outfits for mum, and you are welcome to bring your own. Tell us your pregnancy week and whether your partner or children will join.

Can my partner and children join?

Yes. Core family portraits are included in our packages. Tell us who will attend when booking. Please check the package page for grandparent and pet add-on fees.

Is makeup included?

Makeup is an optional service at an additional cost. Ask us about the arrangements when booking.

Do I need to buy a maternity dress?

No. Outfits for mum are provided, and you may also bring your own. Choose two looks from our portfolio and send screenshots before the session so we can prepare your two outfits.

How do I choose a date for my maternity session?

Around 28–34 weeks is a good time for maternity photographs, when your bump is clearly visible and you still feel comfortable. Send us your pregnancy week, due date and preferred dates so we can plan your session and check availability.

What undergarments should I prepare?

Prepare a strapless bra and low-cut underwear, preferably nude. Bring a black set if your chosen outfit requires it. A nude NuBra is useful for nude-style portraits. See our maternity preparation guide.

Can I bring meaningful props?

Yes. Baby clothes, shoes, toys or an ultrasound image can make the portraits more personal. Send us a photo beforehand to discuss how they fit your chosen look.

Do I need to know how to pose?

You do not need to arrive with a set of poses. Share the portraits you like and tell us what feels comfortable, so we can plan the session together.
